FIESTA! FIESTA! FIESTA!

The annual Lake Chapala Society (LCS) July Fiesta will be held on the LCS grounds, located at 16 de Septiembre, Ajijic, on Saturday, July 26th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  This is the only major fundraiser for LCS and all profits go to support The Wilkes Education Center, the Children’s Art Program, and tuition for LCS sponsored students.

Everyone is invited to come and enjoy this exciting fun-filled day.  Eight area restaurants including the Secret Garden, Rosanno’s, Jose’s Illusion and Pepino’s will participate.  There will be numerous beer, wine, and soft drink booths with all food and drink courts scattered throughout the LCS campus, rather than located in one area.

Upon entering the LCS grounds everyone will be given a map showing the locations of all the activities and a schedule showing times for bingo, 50/50 raffle, silent auction, live entertainment, and a giant raffle drawing.

Two entertainment stages – one featuring upbeat, dance music and one featuring background music will be set up in different areas.

Chapala Mayor Gerardo Degallado will present the 2008 Purchase Award winners of the Children’s Art Program.  There will be prizes for first, second and third places.  All children’s art will be displayed and sold in the children’s art area at the front of LCS.  The Purchase Award winning art will be on display.  And there will be art demonstrations.

Luis Enrique, the 14-year old art protégée who created the 2008 LCS Directory cover, has been commissioned to design two souvenir logos of Lakeside and LCS.  Javier Zaragoza will do a demo portrait.  Door prizes and silent auction items include: a large tequila basket, time shares, a home karaoke machine, gift baskets, shopping sprees, gift certificates, etc.

Tickets are $50 pesos (presale) or $100 pesos at the door. Tickets can be purchased at LCS or at Bancomer in Chapala and Ajijic.  Ticket halves will go into a drum for the Grand Door Prize drawing.  So come eat, drink, dance, and play at the LCS July 26th Fiesta!
